Crash Replacement Policy

Here at Halo, we understand that you’re buying our wheels and components because you want to push your limits and ride progressively. Our wheels allow you to do that. But, we know that they aren’t indestructible. S*** happens. We get that, and we’ve never been in the business of seeking to profit from people’s misfortunes.

That's why we offer a generous crash replacement policy. We guarantee a 50% discount on the cost of repair when you have an accident and the wheel or component becomes unsafe for use. If a repair is not cost effective compared with a replacement, we may advise a replacement wheel instead.

As an illustration of how good the value of this might be:

If you purchase a Halo Vortex rear wheel (RRP: £324.99) and damage only the rim in a crash, we would repair the wheel by replacing the rim (50% off RRP: £44.99) plus a £25 rebuild, which includes replacement spokes where required. The total cost to you would be £69.99, excluding shipping costs for the return to us.

Terms and Conditions

Naturally, we like to be fair but we are still a business, not a charity, and so we do still have some conditions in place to ensure that those claiming are claiming for the right reasons:

a) You, the claimant, must be the original owner and be able to provide proof of purchase.

b) You must send the product back to us so that we can issue you with a replacement or replacement parts. No claim can be validated until it has been inspected and agree by Halo.

c) The policy excludes products that have been subject to; Modification, abuse, neglect, improper assembly, fitting unauthorised components, lack of maintenance, commercial hiring, failure to follow instructions (whether oral or in writing), wilful damage or other similar activities.

d) The policy excludes damage or deterioration to the surface finish, aesthetics or appearance of the product where the product is still safe to ride.

e) Although we offer this policy, Halo shall not be responsible for accidental or consequential damage or loss howsoever caused.

f) Please note that all returns are at the sender’s expense. Replacements will be dispatched with shipping FOC inside the UK. Outside of the UK, shipping will be charged at cost.

This policy applies to wheels and components purchased through our website and our authorised dealer network. We ask that you make crash replacement claims directly with us, even if you bought your Halo product through a dealer. You must provide proof of purchase. Please quote our crash replacement policy.
